One Year and One Year Cake SmashSessions

One Year Sessions are quite popular in the world of photography. But, One Year Cake Smash Sessions are the most popular. In case you have never heard of this concept, these sessions are basically celebrating your baby turning a year old and having their first cake/taste of sugar.

Every one of my clients thinks that their baby will dig into the cake, it will be all over the place (up the walls and all over their baby). I assure you, in my almost 8 years of capturing one-year sessions, this has never happened. Typically, your baby will stick a finger in the cake, take their first taste and maybe go back for a few more little tastes before they lose interest. I’ve only had one baby put their whole face in the cake!

With all our one-year sessions, we will work with you to create the perfect backdrop. We will capture family photos (if you wish), portraits of your baby, cake smash photos (again, only if you would like this) and follow with the optional bubble bath. The bubble bath portion is a warm small bath with bubbles all over the studio/your home. It’s always a favourite and encourages even more smiles than the cake smash portion.
